Jeff Bland began his career as an electrician at the age of 15, helping his father with commercial and resi-
dential electrical jobs. The work suited Jeff’s natural curiosity to understand how things work and led to a long list of various jobs in the electrical industry, from laborer to apprentice, journeyman to project manager and, ultimately, a licensed electrical contractor. The field of photovoltaic energy became a fascination for Jeff and his research led him to hands-on training courses through Solar Energy International.“Soon, Jeff was sold on the idea of providing solar energy as an efficient and safe alternative to his current commercial and residential customers, as well as new clients venturing into the world of solar energy.”

One size fits all? Absolutely not.

Jeff quickly found that the ‘traditional’ approach to providing solar services was to become a distributor of one specific product. This ran counter to the training he had received and he realized this wasn’t conducive to providing solutions for individuals. Today, Jeff insists on using products to meet needs, rather than trying to make one product the solution for every application. This philosophy simply doesn’t work to the client’s advantage. Jeff Bland is a fully functional solar electric distributor and installer and certified by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP). While this certification is not mandatory, Jeff believes the stringent requirements and testing demanded by the NABCEP has only helped increase the level of service he provides. Jeff’s wife Terri serves as President and Secretary of Bland Family Solar and Electric, bringing the same level of commitment and excellence.
